You make a bit of 6-10 in No-Trump, Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs. The winning bidder gets a pile in the middle of 5 cards in which to "help" the player and his teammate win. The player takes the 10 cards & 5 cards in the middle, then discards 5 of the cards. If I bid on Spades, I would want the most spades as they are the "trump". No-Trump is exactly what it is, high card of first card thrown wins, except the Joker which could be thrown if someone is out of that suit to gain control.
